Just got a WONDERFUL new catalog from Connecting Threads this weekend. In March, to celebrate National Quilting Month, they are hosting a quilt-along, complete with tutorials. The patterns will be free, the tutorials will be free, and signing up is free. Go to their website (www.connectingthreads.com) and sign up for their free emails, and you will be able to get the info, right in your inbox.

I'm going to participate and share my progress on my blog.

Hope you'll quilt along with me!

Wife of terrific hubby and mom to 2 teenagers, 2 bunnies, 2 geriatric goldfish, and the best dog in the world!

Called the company today, because I had received no emails about the quilt-along despite signing up. Officially, the quilt-along started a week ago. The VERY NICE lady gave me the link:
http://quiltwithus.connectingthreads.com/group/perfect-points-quilt-along

There are several colorways to do the quilt - you can choose to use what's given, what's it your stash, whatever suits your fancy. Also, this says the quilt is for a confident beginner, with the blocks increasing in skill level every week. I think if you are a beginning beginner, what better way to start than to learn to make those points correctly from day one than develop sloppy habits (like me) and have to relearn/correct bad habits.

Go to the link, sign up (free - then reply to the verification email), and print the PDF's. Watch the tutorials. Post back up here and/or on my blog to let us know your progress! Be sure to share which colorway you're using - we'd all love to know!
