Garden Gate:  Where to put my new garden  |

So the research is comeing through with some great numbers for my garden this year. But now the question remains, where to put the garden. In my back yard is a full two car garage away from the house and then some, I might not hear the baby and the new well and all the goop from that ordeal. But my front yard is part septic drainage field. I have no plans to put any dangerous chemicals down but would this effect the growth. The back yard is full sun, while the front is partial.
Any thoughts my fellow farmgirls?

Back in the Full sun! I had a raised garden bed in full sun until late afternoon, along
with my neighbors who had theirs in more shady areas. Mine always had the best growth,
the first fruits and the best over all harvest.
And if you have septic in the front...if anything happened where they had to go in and
dig it up...bye bye garden!

Definately in THE FULL SUN! Veggie gardens need and love plenty of sunshine- at least 6-8 solid hours per day. Haev fun planning it all out....oh how I can not wait to dig in the dirt!
