It's called a Splat Mat. Here's a link:

http://www.artistsclub.com/cfTools/tools_display.cfm?id=70069

I just bought one for my craft table last week and I love it. I've looked at them in catalogs for years but always held off on ordering one. Not sure why....now I'm planning to order more so I can make a larger work surface for my painting projects.

Glue, paint, primer, you name it....doesn't stick to this mat. Let the messes dry and they wipe off with a damp rag. Even hot glue stick comes right off. No more tossing out dirty paper or newsprint after a single use! And no more paper sticking to glue/paint where you don't want it to, either.

Just thought I'd share since it might be considered useful to many of my crafting farmsisters.

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

I have something similar, called a nonstick craft mat, but the same idea. It takes lots of abuse. I couldn't glue, paint or glitter without is.

This looks handy. I wonder if a non-stick oven liner would work, also? I have one in my oven and it takes temps up to 500 degrees. Just a thought.
