Got these dresses....one could easily be a simple wedding dress for a less formal occasion, another a prom dress......in excellent condition.....trying to think what I could do with them.....barter???? Or thrift shop??? I actually got the white chiffon as I thought I could make dress purses out of the top of the bridal dress-------has the mini fold ll on top...the bottom is a soft flowing skirt......a very smart looking dress.
the prom dress is nice too....grabbed it as I thought of doing my second fashion show. I do have one more white with silver sequins----any ideas appreciated.

I donated a few to a local organization that provides prom dresses to girls that can't afford to buy one. Maybe there is a similar orgainization where you live.

Yes, I was going to suggest something similar, Kathy--around here it's called "Cinderella's Closet" and they take formal dresses, shoes, costume jewelry and even tiaras for girls who could never afford to go to proms.

With the decorative bodice, you could make wedding or christening albums. You can use the skirt fabric for the back of the album.

I cut up my wedding skirt and my husbands wedding shirt and incorparated it into a crazy quilt that I started. Not finish yet, I have the blocks made just need to get busy doing some embroidery on the squares and put together.

We had an ad on our local facebook of a little gal with down syndrome who wanted to be a princess for halloween, the community jumped right in and one gal had a long white dress that she was trying to sell, she just gave it to her. Another had the shoes. Another had the extras. It was wonderful. The dress fit she looks wonderful and the community has a new sense of pride. It was Awesome. So I would say donate, it would really make someones day.
