Hi gals - I've got three teeth being pulled next Monday - two wisdom (one to be cut out) and a third tooth that broke in half four years ago and amazingly has NEVER bothered me...until now. I'm trying to nurse this angry tooth along until next Monday when it comes out. I really don't like to take a lot of medicine, but this angry tooth has me doing ibuprofen and acetaminophen every four hours. I'm also using a blend of essential oils that includes clove which is helping to numb it up a bit. Any other tips to get through the next week? :)

No other than what you're doing I don't have other suggestions. Maybe swish your mouth with salt water regularly to keep any bacteria down.

This will probably sound weird but I found that drinking more milk helped me until I could see a dentist along with the clove oil and ibuprofen. I hope you feel better soon Amy and that things go well next week!

Amy, my hsuband had to have three teeth fixed and had to wait two weeks. He gargled with salt water, and took ibuprofen. He finally got them all fixed and recovered by the next day.
Good luck to you. Keep us posted.

I know each person is different but I'm glad to hear you say your husband recovered so quickly. I'm supposed to be going out of town for four days starting Feb 2nd and I am hoping to be semi-recovered from the surgery on Jan 30th. :)

Amy: My dh had a top back tooth removed, and two root canals. He did really well. Good luck.
