I couldn't resist sharing this one with the 'girls:

My goodies from the MN State Fair! I was so excited when I saw this t-shirt that I didn't even hesitate - just scooped it right up. I went with my Urban Farmgirl Chapter friend, Amy, and she got one too! The yarn is Icelandic Lopi and was only $4 a pop - couldn't pass it up. Here are more of my favorite Fair photos:
A SOCK MONKEY DRESS (how cool?!):

My son checking out a REALLY big pumpkin:

Jackson again, at the Swine Barn (with his sleeping buddy, Oscar, in the next stroller):
(If you look *really* close, you can see his first tooth coming in on the bottom!)
Oh how I love the State Fair!

I never would of thought of making a sock monkey dress I guess I am way behind the times. I think I will stay there. I do have to admit it is quiet the conversation piece. Put that on a manakin in your front room and no party would be at a lose for conversation. I just love it don't want to own it but love it all the same.

Those pictures are awesome! I love your son's "oink booth" hat!! I went to the Los Angeles County fair ever since I was little! Now, I'm gonna check out the South Carolina State fair in mid October! I think that will be a treat - and it is not too far, just about a hours drive!
I think I'll work on a sock monkey dress for my next knitting project... haha

Love the photos! Each one made me laugh, and I love the quilt in the background of the monkey dress.
I love the t-shirt, too. Who made it? I found a website at www.farmboy.us/

Hi Beth! The Farm Girl shirts are over in the Coliseum. Go in the doors by the Alpaca booth right outside the Coliseum and you'll see the Farm Girl/Farm Boy brand booth right there. They have so many cute ones, it was hard to choose! Good hoodies for fall too - perfect for football games! The Lopi yarn is from the International Bazaar at one of the sweater stands. They have a box of yarn tucked under a display, so not a lot to choose from, but a great price, nonetheless.
And DON'T MISS the sock monkey dress and all of the other amazing crafts in the Creative Arts Bldg either. Crafty Minnesotans have outdone themselves again this year!
Don't forget about the gourmet deep-fried pickles in the Food Bldg either...yes, totally fattening, but if you only have them once a year, it's worth it!!

This is just too fun - I now have this vision of me wearing the sock monkey dress to a holiday party this year. Too bad you can't get ahold of those! I showed my son the photo and he LOVED it - he said it looked like the zoo - he went to the zoo for the first time earlier this year - the monkeys were some of this favorites!
Jackson's little face and tooth are just too cute! What a fun time...
XOXO, Libbie
