Now I have been on MJF since 2009 so I am well aware of how wonderful, loving and supportive Farmgirl Sisters are. But, today one of my very special farmgirl Sisters surprised me with a very special gift. You see I am a klutz and I have fallen twice in the past two days on my knee that was totally replaced 3 months ago. I am battered and bruised with a sprain knee, with lots of swelling and pain. And after 3 months of recuperation from the surgery I was finally able to start doing things again like farmgirl adventures as you are all aware. So, now it is again for me a few days of Rest, Ice,and Elevation so I am pretty bummed and hubby is feeling so bad for me. He is a wonderful caring man. Anyway I digress, my Farmgirl Sister Michele, (batzinthebelfy) from MA just had a dozen beautiful roses delivered Fedex, all colors. I was so touched I cried like a baby, just like I did when I fell:-) What a wonderful surprise and it sure made my day, so M from the bottom of my farmgirl heart I thank you, your are the sweetest.
Thank you all my farmgirl friends and sisters for all your love and support these past couple of days, what would we do with out all of us?
Farmgirl Hugs, Deb

Debbie! You lucky lucky girl! Quick hugs and well wishes for your knee. Your sisters really have your back...and your knee! ha ha.
Michele, thank you for taking the time to think of our wonderful sister. You truly stand out. I have seen you stand out in many ways across many forums. You are whole hearted in your devotion to farmgirl sisters. Thank You.

Debbie - Get well soon! As a CNA at a Rehab facility, I work with patients who have had thier knees etc replaced and I totally understand what you are going through. It gets better I promise! And I totally agree with you.. Farmgirl Sisters are the best!! I havent been a sister for too long, but I always feel so at home here on the forum..everyone is always so supportive and thoughtful and it seems like one big family :) I am so glad I was introduced to MaryJanes Farm.. It has been a great boost to my self esteem, and encouraged me to try so many new things that I would have never even attempted otherwise. |

Ohhhh, that was so sweet to send the roses. They are beautiful. What a lovely thing to do - but so typical of a farmgirl.
Debbie - I'll join in on the prayers. Sending them to you to heal at lightening speed. Take it slow and the next thing you know, you'll back at it. God bless...

Debbie: Bless your heart! You really needed those roses. Hugs from me to you. I've been in your situation. It seems like forever to heal, but you will. Think of how much more daylight we will have by Valentine's day. So glad a farmgirl sent you the flowers.

Thanks everyone for you support. Well, the falls in a way was a good thing as I broke up all the scar tissue:-) Now it is like starting all over with physical therapy to rebuild and strengthen the quad and get the degree of bend back. Keeping the swelling down is the challenge. But, it will be better from here on in (with no more falls of course), I will continue to do the stretching exercises, knee and leg lifts so hopefully in a month or so it will so much better. By April I will be ready for my Farmgirl Adventures to meet new Farmgirls on the Western Slope of Colorado, it is a goal worth working for and achieving!
