There are so many options for these generally unloved parts of a loaf!
What do you do with the ends of a loaf of bread?

Use them for breadcrumbs. I just blend in my food processor and store them in the freezer. I also store the whole pieces of bread in the freezer to use for bread pudding or stuffing.

Toast! It's my husband's favorite part of the loaf!

I cube them and let them get stale and use them for stuffing or bread pudding. I keep a large ziploc bag in the freezer to store them in.

Sharon, me too! I just put a recipe up at the blog for just that. I found it in my grandmother's 1914 Domestic Science cookbook and it is to die for. Chocolate Bread Pudding with Hard Sauce. Oh my. Made it this weekend and it was amazing.

Well, if it's my own homemade bread it's MINE!!! I cut a thick slice, have with honey and butter . . MINE, ALL MINE!!
Other than that the only other bread eaten in our house are tortillas and bolitos (a yam-shaped/sized roll/bun . . my hubby uses them for sandwiches) And I hardly ever eat anything by MY bread ends.

I throw them in a bag in the freezer and for the most part they get fed to ducks and geese at a local pond. I occasionally make breadcrumbs. And one of my kids likes to eat them.

I save them and have used them for bread pudding, stuffing, croutons and bread crumbs :)
