Oh Ladies!

I am soo soo glad Tala is home! She is such a sweet little horse. The winter has been pretty windy and cold and she is a bit ribby even though I know the boarding facility was feeding good hay and plenty of it. So she now has her rough and tough blanket on and she is in her shelter. I have been giving her plenty of hay and some Purina Strategy. I think she should bounce back pretty quickly now that she doesn't have any competition for feed and has her blanket.

Yesterday I let her out to explore. We have 500 acres that we are able to use until the alfalfa starts growing during spring. It is all fenced and while I can't leave her loose, I can let her out to get some exercise. (Not leaving her loose is my own worries- not the landlords). So yesterday she was out on about 300 acres just wandering around and having lots of fun. :) She comes when called and loves to be around people and I didn't even have to use a halter or lead rope to catch her back up again.

I am in heaven! I love my girl!

Alee, it sounds wonderful for her there. I know she will be so happy. And so close too. Have fun.

Tala must love having so much land to explore. Post a picture of Tala for us. I'd love to see her.

I've not ever had to board my horses, but it is so nice to just to go out and get them or to just pet and feed treats.

I'm glad you got your horse close to you. Pet her once for me.
