Pressure cooked some chicken thighs, removed the skin for the pooch. The thighs were cooked in chicken broth. Made some noodles from scratch and cooked them with the meat and broth. Yummo.

Since Mister is at his mom's tonight (it's closer to the hospital, and he had to take his tax paperwork to her), I'm treating myself to steak!

Oh crud, I forgot to get anything to go with it...! *laughs*

A hook, a book, and a good cup of coffee....

Ended up with 80 degree weather! Woo-Hoo! Was outside until almost dark, so I threw together a "Meatless Monday" meal that turned out great, just from what I had on hand: whole wheat pasta tossed with red and orange sweet peppers (got a whole bag of organic ones at Trader Joe's last week, on sale for less than $3.00), tomatoes, feta cheese, green olives, broccoli, and tossed it with olive oil, seasalt, and lemon juice. All organic except for the Manzilla olives. It was so yummy, fast and perfect for a warm evening.

Alyce, enjoy your steak!

Well after a day of mowing the yard. Takes about 3 hours. First time this year.!
So I made baked chicken and potato salad. Yummy!--Marlee

Hey Marlee,
Hope you don't lose electricity. No fun. My relatives in TX got some heavy but much needed rain from those storms. Take care!

ooo, Marlee, I didn't realize you were so close to the Texas border! Hope you stayed safe with those storms!
This morning before my youngest went to school she asked - "What's for dinner? Let's look on Farmgirl and see what everybody else is having!"
She's definitely a "farmgirl in training!"
Anyway, maybe chili - will post later - or she will!

Thank you Lisa, were safe, but last night bad weather. Our Creek over run,up to our garden plot which is about 20 feet from our patio. Whoohoo close. So we are watching weather today. Thank you all my sisters for keeping up in your thoughts.

Lisa a frito pie sounds good. You put frito chips in bottom of bowl, put chili over it. Add cheese ,sour cream if you like. Good! Hugs Marlee

Frito pie sounds great. I think I am having chicken, again. I am going gluten free - so until I get a handle on the recipes - its chicken, chicken, chicken. I have been looking the GF thread and getting ideas.
