good question. with our girls the full let down is usually 15 minutes. but the washing the equipment and other things for the cow take time too. just a thought sherrye

Deborah, that's a loaded question. Milking by hand or machine? And have you done it before? Or the cow? The actual milking takes less time that the getting ready and the cleaning up. Then there's all that milk.

I use a milker, and my cow is done in 5 minutes. Put together,milking, cleanup a total of 20 minutes tops. (includes walking out to milk) :)

When I was a child and it took a total of 40 min. That was cleaning and milking. At least 25 min milking for me.....but my Momma could do it in 15 min or less....she was so much better at it..
