i finally reached someone in ohio....explained the issue at hand of applying to their BCCP and medicaid....

"under our program it's not going to happen, have a good day!"

so i guess i sit here in the middle of nowhere with no family ...does anyone have any clout at the whitehouse??????

trying hard not to have a pity party right now-don't need anything else feeding the cancer.......

btw i am posting here rather than on the prayers forum cuz this IS about family-dunno where else to post!!!!

you have all been so wonderful with your prayers and supportive words...but i need my family!

WAY TO GO!! there are ALWAYS hoops for everything- good thing it's not a hula hoop because I can't do that anymore.
I'm so happy you can move and be by your family! That in itself is a HUGE WIN!!! How soon will you get to move and start treatment?
I'm so happy that you get to by your family! I could just do a happy dance- I won't because I have to try and keep my job and No One wants to see me dance...hehehe

Happy Hugs to you Margo!!

Happy for you, Margo! I'm going to keep right on praying in between joyful noises and happy dances. Holy cow! You are on some kind of roller coaster ride, girl..take some deep breaths..your packing will be much neater.

Lol! This thread was a rollercoaster of emotion. When I read your first post, my heart sank and I thought oooohhhh nooooo! Then I read your next post and was like YES! and mentally did the snoopy dance. That is such great news, Margo!! So good to have that support system so close. Will be saying prayers that you find a place that feels like home and the move goes smoothly. No snow, no snow, no snow........

Lori, I want to see the happy dance. Friday....craft night...I expect to see it! :)

Margo, Lori and I have taught Sunday school together for 4 or 5 years now. That's how we met, but now we've become even better friends since we started doing a craft night every Friday. It's her, her 15-year-old daughter Natalie, her weiner dog Jack and I! I had to add Jack because it wouldn't be craft night without the weiner dog! Lol. So much fun! I like in Anne of Green Gables when she refers to kindred spirits. That's how I view Lori and I! :)Farmgirls in general really.

You'll have to give us your new address after you get settled in! Wish I was there to help!

Yes!! Yes!!! Yes!!! Penny- This is just wonderful and I am so happy that you were able to get someone involved who knew how to make this transition work! Keep us posted on the move and be sure to get some rest because you don't want to go into treatment exhausted. Stuff is not worth it! You have bigger "fish to fry"!!!

How true Winnie- pack what you will need but remember to rest to help your body heal. Treatment will be hard, so rest whenever you can.

Margo keeping you in my prayers, have you found drs in Ohio?

have found a 4 person team of med oncologists-there actually is a whole cancer center within 10 -15 miles of just about anywere i would live there-my surgeon is making a referral for me.

my kids are looking at a place tonite that is very close to one of them-walking distance actually-tho the rent is a teensy more than i would like i think we can somehow make it happen.

a youn man and his father drove up today to look at my sleeper sofa couch- they went to get coffee and talk about it but i doubt they are going to buy it.poo--was really hoping to not have to move it!

i need to get back to packing--had to have a farmsisters break!
later! thx for being here!!!!!

Congratulations Margo. Glad to hear the good news. Don't overdo it while you are packing and take care of yourself through this time. It can be overwhelming to pack everything (This from a repeat mover) and take it one room at a time on the other end.

Best of luck,
Laurie

keeping my fingers and toes crossed! dauhter went to look at a place today- a 1 (really wanted 2 but )bedroom apt but 650 sq ft (that's HALF the size of one floor of the house i had in ohio)...anyhow- she posted pics on fb and we talked tonite- i have to fill out app and have backround check run which i know i'll pass- and pay rent- DIL might take bus up here (at my expense) and drive my car down -one less thing to transport...
so when i go back to packing tomorrow it will be with a plan!!!!
so excited!!!!!!!!

Sounds exciting Margo! Just think- smaller space = less cleaning!
I hope that it works out for you, but if not this place then one will certainly find its way to you!
Keep us posted- continued prayers are coming your way!
Hugs,
