Using pieces of fabric from my stash, fat quarters, etc. for feature weekly on my blog. This week's feature is the Christmas present I made for my daughter. Check it out!

Ann, reading this yesterday I checked my stash and realized that I had quite a few fabrics that will be enough to use on my aprons I am making, thanks for the reminder about having stashes. I was back in your neighborhoood yesterday and the thought crossed my mind to call you.

God bless,

Judy

Don't la luv "1 Yard Wonders' on Wednesdays!?!
I also incorporate pillopwcases for that 1yd of fabric!
I just made a pair of 'pantaloons', a childs easy peasy sun dress & an apron from pillowcases(approx 1yd)to use for clothes line decoration outside of my vintage trailer.
I think we should have a National "1 yard Wednesday".... all in favor say 'Aye!"
Kudo's Ann for getting us motivated. :>)

First, thank you. Second "AYE!" OYW will be back again this week, and WAIT TIL YOU SEE WHAT I HAVE IN STORE!
Third, also working on an apron from a pillowcase, but can't say more than that right now, either.

Grace, I hope you stop by tomorrow to see our January Craftivism Challenge - it's using pillowcases, too.

Ann, you are one crafty lady. I havent been in the stitching and crafting room for a while. I just seen this thread. Wow...I love your one yard wendesdays. What a great way to use up your stash and teach others a nice project. Its people like you that help keep the art of sewing alive. I might have to steal a few of these for my neighborhood ASG meeting. I try to come up with an exciting yet simple project that can be completed or almost completed in two hours. Today we made a simple poncho out of one yard of fleece.
Thank you!

The little bag doesn't take all that long, and if you either pre-paint or don't paint your embroidery hoops, the wall art doesn't take very long at all. And thanks! Wait til you see what's coming up this Wednesday!

I'm glad it helped. Usually, whenever I've made fabric yarn of any kind, it didn't matter how you linked the strips/loops together, but when you absolutely have to have the right side facing, that little twist made so much sense and such a difference.
