Ladies ---I was upset about that tornado and I can hardly stand to hear about the fires---both so awful. We went on beautiful four wheeler ride and have been getting in wood in beautiful weather and the leaves are so beautiful. I feel blessed and so wish I could stop the fires and the bad weather for people. God bless!

You know you are a true Cali girl if you no longer can count how many pairs of flip flops you own. Well all those flippers are not doing me any good out here since we moved to Upper East Texas this time of year. Burrrr its cold here today. Last night it was 22 degrees and my Shih Shu Sunny with the lovely full body fur coat decide he needed to use his 190000 sq. ft. bathroom at midnight last night. Me without thinkin' in my granny nightgown put on a hoodie and my slippers and took him out. Humongest mistake. It was airish and cold. I had to wait until he was done because I can't pick him up to go inside. He thinks it is a chase game and will dodge me. He can't hear that well so commands mean nothing to him. Had to bribe him with a beefy chew.

Nancy welcome to our ever changing Texas weather. True story. A friend had a full length full coat she no longer wore in public so she wore it to take her poodle out in the middle of the night when it was freezing.

We've had our first snow storm! I love a good snow storm ... as long as everyone is safe and warm of course. It is a tad early for us ... I seem to be a minority in this area with my love of snow! lol

We are getting a snow storm here today and the weather shows it will sticking around all week. And boy is it cold. I am staying bundled up with a blanket and drinking some tea to try and stay warm. I am loving the snow though. Gets me in the mood for Christmas which starts on Friday. Good timing weather!

Beautiful sunny weather in the Texas Hill Country. High 60s and light wind. Walking weather.

Well Vanessa---I don't know about your brass monkey, but I about froze my tail off too. Now we get fairly warm weather through the 29th---a couple of days almost 60. That is fine with me as the winter is that much further gone. Will miss not having a white Christmas though---but our dogs can be warm and happy when they are outside and we will have good dog walks---and I won't have to do chores in the cold. Merry Christmas to all!

The weather was so warm and sunny here yesterday---a pleasure to be outside. I was up at Flat Top at my mundane cleaning job and could leave the garage doors up and enjoy the downstairs work with fresh air. People were out doing a little work and his neighbor was outside on his deck sitting and enjoying the sunshine. Rain is moving in today.

Today it's 33 degrees with fog. In the last four days Paris has been under a burn ban because of higher than normal temps and high winds. Then storm warnings and a tornado watch followed the next day by light snow and below freezing temps. One thing never changes here in Texas the weather is always changing. Growing up in Dallas I used to hear the old folks say "if you don't like the weather stick around and it'll change".

This weather is nuts... Last weekend we had 70 degree weather. My spring bulbs are all popping up, and my lilac is budding. THIS weekend, we're expecting a nasty snow storm and temps in the high 20's. I am convinced Mother Nature is in perimenopause!

I can't tell what we are having from one day to the next. Mostly it's rainy and overcast with a partly sunny day thrown in every few just to keep us guessing. Some days close to 70 others around 40.

I agree ... the weather has been wacky as of late. We went from freeze your buns off cold to a balming 33F. We did have a gorgeous snowstorm last Sunday ... I do enjoy a nice snow storm.

As for those living in Florida, there's a weather alert "WATCH OUT FOR FALLING IGUANAS!"

I am still such a SoCali girl that I get amazed at this.

Woke up this morning around 4am and checked outside. It had been raining and making cold. This is the view from my front porch.

We are getting a beautiful snow here in the Chicago area. It is still coming down like crazy and you would never guess we had shoveled just 3 hours ago. Enjoy your winter wonderland everyone!

44 with forecasted hi of 60 - mostly cloudy but the birds are singing this morning so it's going to be a beautiful day in northeast Texas

Dawn your snow sounds beautiful. Twice we have gotten snow but only enough to say it snowed. It didn't cover the ground or stay around long.

We are on a 4 day high of 80+ degrees. Spring is bursting out and the pollen is horrendous down here for allergies. This is the time of year that Florida is it's most beautiful because it is warm without high humidity and the nights are cool, but not freezing. We are behind in rain needs, so hopefully, we will get more. Last week's huge storm brought us 1 inch of rain and a lot of downed trees and limb debris. The winds were upwards of gusts with 70 mph in places. Spring storms are often our most fierce. Many states north of us and due west had flooding rains with upwards of 10+ inches in places. It was one doozy of a front that moved across the US southern tier last week.

We are still having a very rainy winter. Occasionally we get a day of sunshine but for the most part, wet and cold.

Winnie, we always chose the end of January to visit my parents when they lived in Plant City. The weather was always beautiful then and we'd go for mom's birthday.
