Unseasonably cooler here in Southern California, 81 degrees and 60% humidity, but the 90's are back next week.

The Weather Channel is showing rain for Texas for most of next week. We shall see. I hope we get a lot of rain.

Next stop: Hurricane Season! We have some storms heading over from Africa, and the anticipated storm paths. We may have some rain when they get closer, but my shweetie wants to get gas for the generator, just in case.

Sultry in northeast Texas. Humidity so oppressive feels like a ton of bricks pushing down on my head and shoulders. On the up-side A/C is running and fall is just around the corner.

Vanessa when my sister lived in the Tampa area she kept a hurricane box just in case.

This summer has been sooo hot and humid in the northeast Pennsylvania area. I just can't deal with it. I don't enjoy being dripping wet unless I'm swimming! Bring on Fall!

Autumn seems to be sneaking in here in northern UT. The highs have dropped from mid-90s to high-80s and the smell on the wind is different. Can't wait.

Natalie!! I'm feeling the same thoughts. Hurry Autumn.
High 80s in the Texas Hill Country today. The sun is out. Last week we had two bouts of rain. The grass is looking greener, and needs to be cut, again.

We're still in the mid to upper 70s here in central Illinois, but it feels nice enough to have my office windows open with the heat and humidity we've been having.

I am so happy to report that along the coast of Southern California we are 66 degrees, cloudy with a chance of rain tonight and tomorrow! Today it feels like fall is in the air!

Unexpected rain today. The upside is it cooled us down just a bit, always a good thing!

We had clouds yesterday and this morning, but never got the rain the weatherman talked about. Now it is sunny, 72 degrees and 85 by the weekend with Santa Ana Wind. I guess we need to wait a while longer for fall.

Yes cold sounds perfect. Sure need several hard freezes this winter to help dwindle the grasshopper population down.

Betty, send the cool weather here! LOL. Enjoy.

Kelly: We've had a few grasshoppers, but nothing like last year. I'm hoping for snow this year.

Up and down weather around here. A few days of warm, lovely fall weather and then a cool down with chilly temps. Today we're getting rain . . . and I need to go for a walk!

First time I've put on long pants since spring! Wearing socks and long-sleeved shirt today!

We have a portable evaporative room cooler we use in the summer in our living room/kitchen area. Yesterday I drained the remaining water out of it and today I bagged it up and put it away in the shed for the winter.

There is flooding on the Cedar River in central Iowa. we are OK but Cedar Rapids will have flooding again as it did in 2008. Prayers for families displaced.
