The weather was sunny for the first part of the day, and the afternoon brought overcast skies. It started raining around 9 PM. We are in the lots of rain during the night and in the morning more rain and thunder. This is Mardi Gras weekend down here in Cajun country. The grownups don't let the rain bother them, but I hate seeing the little children dragged away from the parades, etc... because of the rain. I do believe mother nature is bringing in Spring to Louisiana. Marly

Morning all my farmgirls...what a beautiful day in New York. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and my cat (Cutie) is climbing on the screen door hoping to catch a bird "giggle".

We got about an inch of beautiful snow overnight. Everything looks pretty and clean -- for now! It has been a fairly mild winter here in the Inland Northwest/Spokane WA area.

Yikes - I'm in Montana on a sales trip and the weather has turned a bit. Not much snow but very high winds expected Wednesday and Thursday and I have to drive over a mountain pass to get home Thursday. Sigh....this particular pass makes me nervous in good weather - oh well. I have a couple days, hopefully things calm down:) Amy Grace

Amy Grace, be careful driving especially if it snows. Oh gee, I'd have to wait for all that snow to dry up. SW Louisiana is in the high 60s today, yesterday was beautiful. I finally got to mow my yard. I think Spring is right around the corner. Marly

It's BACK. The wind that is. It's blowing hard outside. We had a skiff of snow yesterday but that's all melted now. And she's blowin up a storm.
Excuse the mess & the noise, my children are making happy memories |

They say if you don't like the weather in Montana wait 5 minutes.... True today - I was in sun, rain, wind, hail, and snow several times over. This morning I was running around in a sweater because it was so warm in Whitefish, then drove down Flathead Lake to Polson through rain/wind but enough clear spots to give the lake this ethereal deep aqua color. After I finished there I headed south to Missoula, mostly just wet roadways but no precipitation till I got to Arlee where it started to snow; by the time I got to Missoula it was snowing sideways - still is. No - wait - that was 5 minutes ago. I just looked out the window and it has stopped - still windy though:)

WOW! Snow storm in Michigan! It's been so sporadic here this winter that it's actually kind of fun. Sledding hill, here I come! |

Thermometer says it is 38 degrees out and the sun is trying to shine. With the warmth we have had over the last few days (in spite of the heavy winds) the daffodils have shot up about 3-4 inches. I will be so glad when they start blooming--that means Spring has arrived no matter what the calendar says.

34 degrees with mixed rain/snow falling outside right now. It has started to stick on the grass. The breeze seems to have calmed down for the moment but last night it was quite windy.
On Friday it was low 40's and not raining for a change so I was able to get a few hours of work done at my garden. My garlic is coming up, the fruit trees are starting to bud, and the Snowdrops are blooming in the field. So, I know Spring is just around the corner!
Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Sunny and almost-warm, but still with the thick snow cover from the other day. (Although, if it stays like this that won't last.)
I give up on figuring out this winter!

I give up on figuring this weather in Louisiana, also Alyce. The last three days were chilly for us. I thought for sure Spring was coming in. Today, we had cloudy, overcast skies. The temperature was in the high 50s. Marly

Yes, Alyce, in Louisiana we have not had much of a winter to talk about. I am guessing we'll have a very hot summer, at least that is what I'm hearing. Today, it is in the low 60s, coolish weather. Marly

Here in Eastern PA it's been in the 50's in the daytime and the nights are in the 20's! Definitely not winter weather for us! |

Temps in the 60's here all over KY today. Lots of scary storms/high winds and so far, a tornado has touched down near Hodgenville. And it's supposed to fire up again in a few hours.
