Last several days we have had a break from the heat. Mid-90s during the day and high 60s - low 70s at night.

Marly, sorry about the humidity. I know what it's like having lived in Syracuse, NY and also Norfolk, VA. A constant sweat bath. I can still work up a sweat outside on those dry, hot days. It has worked itself down to about 79° right now. Not to worry though, temps will be back up by the end of next week. I'm going to the lake where it will be cooler.

Minnesota is experiencing 90 degree temps and 50% humidity with clear skies and calm winds. The cicadas are buzzing. Predictors say that we will be having rain for the next week starting tomorrow and the temperatures will come down.

Earlier this week we had almost perfect summer weather-- mid-80's, no humidity. However, the humidity's back today! It was great while it lasted!

Happy Day!

Today we have 74 degrees, mostly cloudy and calm. Humidity is at 81% and a 40% chance of rain. Barometric pressure is at 30 and the air feels tense.

The temperature is down to the low 60's and we had rain all day. It is nice to wear something other than tank tops and shorts.

Marie, that sounds like perfect weather to me!!!!! We are getting cool mornings, but by noon the sun is out! Today's high is supposed to be 93. Not to bad, but the humidity is high.
Enjoy that cool weather.

It is very smoky here due to all the wildfires nearby. I feel for the firefighters.

Hot and humid, as always but we are lucky because we have plenty of rain here in Florida. It is so sad and scary what is going on in the West with the droughts and fires.

Laura, thankfully there are no big hurricanes you need to be concerned about. We lived on the Gulf Coast of Louisiana for years, this time of year was always scary!
Temperature here is 97. Hot. Humid. I am so ready for Fall.

The sun ame out this morning and we have a light breeze, so the smoke wasn't around today. The fire fighters still have their work cut out for them. Plenty warm yet, so it will be hot for the fighters too.

Erika is heading our way. I sent my adult child out to buy food, water, snacks, and candles. This is the golden age, when they help out and don't sass back.

Vanessa: I'll be praying for your family. Knowing a hurricane is coming knowing it's time to prepare. Keep us posted. I've been through many hurricanes. Don't forget the batteries.

It's 96 degrees now. The humidity makes it feel like 103. Hot. Very little wind.

Yesterday evening, I though we would surely get a downpour. There were black clouds all around us. I could hear the thunder. Not a drop!!!!
Temperature now is around 94.

Erika heading closer. Probably won't be a strong storm. Hopefully we will get a day off work. I use hurricanes as a chance to clean out my refrigerator!
