The rainy season is beginning. Days are hot and humid, then at 4:00 (you could almost time it) it rains. It is a consequence of living in paradise.

It is warm and will get warmer next week. Supposed to be in the 90's. The lawn is getting a burned look. I keep the garden moist and hope the raspberries come on shortly. They are starting to get color.

I have officially been living in Kansas for 1 year and I can say that the weather in the midwest is so unpredictable! After living in North carolina for 20 years, I got used to a fairly normal pattern of weather. Cold (but not arctic) temps in the winter and part of the spring and blistering in the summer with hurricane season thrown in.

Here in Kansas, you can have all weather patterns in one day! And can we talk tornadoes? Every time we have a tornado drill where I live my nerves just go into overdrive. But don't get me wrong, I really like living in Kansas. Just have to get used to the weather :)

Blessed with a gorgeous cool 65 degrees this morning. Enjoying a cup of coffee and then going to go work in the gardens.

Maria--as we say in the Midwest--"If you don't like the weather, just wait fifteen minutes and it'll change!" We like to talk about the weather cause it's so unpredictable. It makes for interesting conversation. I've seen it drop by forty degrees in just a couple of hours. I don't like the tornadoes (fortunately I've never been in one) but I've seen the destruction they leave. Today was a mostly sunny day and not as hot and humid as it has been lately. It's great for my garden--I'm starting to get sugar snap peas.

It's 60 now, but supposed to be in the 90's today. Lawn has to be mowed. So I will say it is hotter than hot. Sweating a whole bunch after mowing the yard. Has to be done sometime.

It is so very hot here today and little to no humidity. Not complaining cuz I'm inside in a cool AC'd room. Would love to go outside and work in the garden, but I no more than step outside and the perspiration is running down my face.

Tomorrow will be even warmer.

Currently 85 and partly cloudy. It is a rather comfortable day if one dresses light. There is some humidity but it is not unbearable. Hotter days are ahead I guess.

It's been wonderful here today! The humidity was only about 40% and the temps. were in the 80's. Almost unheard of for this time of July. Lots of white puffy clouds but no more rain till Friday. The river is above flood stage and some of the ferries have closed. But it's not too bad--living along the river, you get used to floods. My garden loves it--I've been getting green beans and cherry tomatoes. The Chinese red noodle beans are almost ready as well. I made coconut brownies today--you replace the butter with melted (not hot) coconut oil. It's healthier and tastes good. I put coconut flakes in them as well. But I've digressed. Today was beautiful!

Hot, Hot, Hot. It's +31 (that's Celsius), not sure what the conversion is.

87.8 Fahrenheit. That is warm! If the humidity is high that is really hot. Nice here in central Ohio. 75, light breeze, 42% humidity.

Wish I were in Minneapolis! It is 95 here and 2 p.m. Supposed to reach 104 before 5 p.m. Needless to say, I'm not spending a whole lot of time outside. My poor garden is sweltering in the heat. Worked outside until I was dripping with sweat and came in at about noon. Long enough to pull a 5 gallon bucket with weeds. Now I'm in for the duration.

It is hot, 97, in the Texas Hill Country. Yesterday we finally got a shower. Not much, but the temperature stayed in the high 70s. Really nice!
