What a beautiful and wonderful Christmas Gift, Congratulations Grandma!
CJ, Robin will be there before you know it safe and sound.
I got a gift certificate from farmgirl Michele (batzinthebelfy) for yarn from Grace (Larkspur Funny Farm) in Colorado. Actually it is two gifts for me as I have been wanting to meet Grace for awhile now and she lives less than 2 hours from me. So, I decided to go pick my yarn out in person just so I can meet Grace. I think I may be more excited about meeting Grace then getting the yarn:-)
Happy New Year Everyone.

Congratulations to Grandma! Your new grandbaby is beautiful...thanks for sharing the picture.
What I got for Christmas....time with my family. My son was home from college for 6 days (we are leaving soon to take him to the airport for his return trip) and we hosted my dad and extended family for Christmas Eve dinner. One of my daughters couldn't make it home from Colorado, but the other was here with us. We had lots of good family time and that's exactly what I wanted; to "keep Christmas" with my love ones.
CeeJay...Sending good thoughts and a prayer for safe travels for Robin. Deb, wishing you and Grace a wonderful time together today.
Warmly, Pam

It's my grandson. Sorry I didn't post that! I'm so wound up right now! My Hubby is over the moon about it. He got 3 girls so this is the first boy on his side of the family since he was born. He keeps callin him 'Papaw's Boy'.
Kimberly...She's out of the hospital. She was feelin well enough to go up to see the baby this mornin. She's kinda depressed about no babies for her anymore, but she said bein a great aunt is better than nothin at all.

Congratulations Angela- No gift in the world could top that! He is beautiful! CJ- Hopefully if you read this post again Robin will already be there with you! And to all my other sisters- sounds like everyone did very well for Christmas, and that of course the most important gift of all- spending time with those we love, was received by almost all of us!
I am excited because I got the new NOOK Tablet- so I have been playing around a little and learning how to use it and what it can do-I think it will take me a while to know it inside out, but I am excited about it. Looking forward to doing alot of reading this winter all cozy with a nice cup of tea and my new Nook! Merry Christmas to all!

angela!!!!!!!!!!!! whooooooooooooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooooooo he is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my greatest gift was to be with my children and grandchildren..friday nite was a wonderful family dinner with everyone there!!! saturday some shopping with daughter and one grandgirl...church saturday night with one son and his family and daughter and grandgirl from shopping trip..Christmas day with ex and his wife and MIL and their extended family-most of it--and my kids and grands-again ALL in one place--gifts were pics, a few candles, charms for my hallmark (think pandora knockoff) bracelet and two of my kids gave me a framed photo of their ankles tatt'd with "I wear pink for Mom" surrounding a big pink ribbon--the ankles were very recently done and sure looked like they hurt!!!
family is truly a gift from God.....

What an amazing Christmas gift, Angela! No way anything material could top that, but our Christmas was very wonderful and Santa was very generous. Our daughter was super happy with the toys Santa brought, exclaiming, "Oh my gosh, mant, this is brutiful!" (she puts a "t" at the end of many words) so it was a lot of fun to watch her open gifts!
My husband booked a weekend away in Chicago for us in February to see a premier of a new Joffrey Ballet Company piece, dinner and hotel. VERY excited to get out of town! My dear mother, always the techie in the family, bought us a new flat screen tv! Guess she didn't feel like our tv from 1984 was making the cut any longer...

Oh my goodness, Angela, He is the most gorgeous baby ever. Many congratulations to you and the rest of your family.
I got such fun gifts. My daughter and I got each other the exact same gift set. (Too funny, we are very much a like in some ways). I got some kitchen utensils that are easy on the arthritis! A Wi game (Who wants to be a millionaire?) Pet steps for our little doggie. A great new recipe box - red and vintage.
It was fun,,, hope all my farmgirl sisters are happy, too. Marianne |
