I will be hosting 2 craftivism challenges on my blog in January. We will be sewing pillowcases for the APQ Million Pillowcase Challenge, and then making Little Dresses for Haiti, which are pillowcase dresses. Also for Haiti, we'll be making Little Boy Shorts.
These are all sewing projects, and are great for beginners, and can be "doodadded up" for more advanced sewists.

Yay, Mary! Glad to have you along! I will be posting the details & pattern links on January 7th! We will be working on the projects 3 consecutive Saturdays, and "shipping out" the 4th Saturday.

Just an FYI - on Saturday, the 28th, I will have a link-up party for our projects on my blog. This is a great way to get traffic to your own blog, as well, if you have one. It's also a fantastic way to show the world (we are in over 30 countries and on 6 continents now) your mad sewing skills and how much we can do for others if we all just pitch in and do it.
If you don't have a blog to link up to, that's ok. You can post your photos here, too. I'd love to see all your pillowcases, dresses and shorts, and I'm sure the other farmgirls would, too.

Just finishing up a few photos, then part 3 will go live on the blog.
Today, we will be making Little Boy shorts. We all know there are just as many little boys in need as there are girls. Plus, this is a great way to use up scrap denim. For me, I found a way to repurpose some khaki and copper colored bed sheets that weren't going to work for the little dresses. The khaki reminded me of prison uniforms, and I thought the copper would just be so much more practical for the boys.
Anyway, sorry it's taking so long, but we'll be up and at'em really soon - I PROMISE! Grab your sewing machine, and get ready!
