I did it! Our back door is a beautiful solid wood door with a solid glass panel. I'm still not quite sure what we were thinking (other than trying to keep the bugs out), but we put a white screen door on it. The first 10 minutes we had the door up, our lab puppy (at the time) decided she wanted out and out she went - through the screen! We didn't really fix the screen, but did try to "tuck" the screen back into place and instead of using the screen door, we kept it open - this added "bulk" to our back door area. I have disliked that screen door the minute it was up! My husband travels A LOT and when he is home, we are at baseball, football or some other activity with one of our 3 kids...or he is doing other "honey-do's". Well, yesterday I had had enough of that door!! I found my husband's drill and took 'er down! Added a few touches of wood putty, found the stain and boy, is my back door beautiful again! AND...the funny part, guess who didn't even notice it was gone?!

That is awesome Sabrena. Good job on taking on the project on your own...and it is even better that it turned out nicely!

Thanks everyone!!! I don't know why I waited so long to do it! My husband now has a list of "other" honey-do's for me! ;0)

Good job! That's too funny! I know there have been several times where I've just had to take matters into my own hands
