We bought bones made in the U.S. for our 3 dogs, a natural coconut treat for our bunny, catnip treats for the cats (we dried our own catnip too. and still need to make those), and natural peppermint flavored treats for the horse. The goats get veggies or ginger snaps. That leaves the chickens, but they get yummy treats all the time too (same with the goats).

Yes, I believe animals should be spoiled this time of year too so good for you Kristina. I just don't have any critters to spoil right now but we always did in the past. I used to make Hobbs his own Chocolate Chip Cookies (just without the chocolate). I sure miss doing that this year! Not only would my pets get special treats but I would buy special bird food and even squirrel food and rabbit food for the wild critters near my home. And everyone always got a special dinner on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Sigh...I know I'll get to do this again someday in the future but miss it this year.

Audrey

Good boy Hobbs! I love and miss you.

A box full of the dogs' favorite rawhides were delivered today. They know it too because they keep sniffing the area of the countertop where the box is sitting. I haven't decided what to get the kitties yet, but maybe I will split a can of salmon with them and the chickens. The horses are getting a special present. I'm opening up a part of the pasture that they normally don't have access to. They will be thrilled!!

My dog has more presents under the tree than we do, LOL! Bonnie will get a new squeeky, and several different kinds of treats. The kitties get kitty treats and a new toy. We have two stockings: "Paws" for the dog, and "Claws" for the cats. One poor kitty has a bladder infection, but is taking his meds like a good little boy. Years past, Audrey and I strung popcorn and cranberry "garland" and hung it out on a hedge for the birds and critters. Didn't have time this year. Maybe tomorrow?

We always try to give everyone a special treat. The horses and donkeys will get carrots, apples and lettuce. (We do not feed our horses and donks any processed treats as one of them is insulin resistant.) The dogs will get beef bones, and the cats get some chicken pieces. This usually makes for a very happy farm for a bit!

Making sure everyone gets a present is something we have always done too. I have two bags of apples for all the beef cows, Connie and the sheep. The chickens will get kefir and some second crop hay. I make treats for my dog, and the kitties are getting a fancy kitty food. All will be happy on the farm

Funny story. Last night I went to wrap Bonnie's squeeky for Christmas. This thing has five squeekies in it, and as I was trying to get the wrap around it I kept squeeking it. I thought she was going to chew through the door, LOL!

Who Me?? Spoil my four legged furry family members??? Well, the hens got popcorn with cranberries. The three Great Prys gots scrambled eggs with lamb sausage. The Billies got sliced apples and the Goat girls got spiced pears and some squash. The bottle kids got more then their shares of hugs, snuggs and kisses but they bot chopped apples, pears and pumpkin.. The llamas do not like extras so they got words of THANKS for their hard work and continual care over us all.

Hope everyone both two and four legged have enough to eat today and find comfort in each other's company.

Well, of course! Our Australian cattle dog, Bramble is SOOOOOO spoiled. She is the "Princess of Quite A Lot" . . .
and that is because our cat, a tortoise shell calico, Skye, is equally spoiled and she is "Queen of Everything".
Goodness me!

I made my recipe of cheddar bacon dog bones and gave them to everyone who had dogs at work and the family. When we had our yellow lab, he absolutely loved those things and so now it is not Christmas without making dog bones. Since his death, I now have friends whose pups love the annual treats and so the tradition continues. My kitty has to be on a prescription diet so no treats for him and he is so SPOILED AND INDULGED that everyday is Christmas for him with lots of brushing and pets!!! LOL

Sure did!

Took the dog to my folk's place yesterday, so she received a new set of fetch balls and her own bowl of cooked greens while we ate dinner.

I cleaned out the frige this a.m. so the chickens got all kinds of left over goodies and a chance to free range out in the sun and grass

We used to give our dog a stocking all his own and hang it on the mantle. Well, he could smell it and knew exactly what was in there. I would walk by the living room door and see him sitting up and begging beside the stocking with no one else in the room! I felt I was torturing him or something!
