the forum.
My best friend came to stay a few days last week and was checking out the swaps I am in, and saw on the Whimsey Jar thread that I am looking for a new friend. She was very interested in swapping and yo-yos after that.

She treats me badly. Life is too short.
I see many women put up with a lot in the name of friendship and companionship. I can't have a friend that doesn't do me good. I have too many bad relatives for that!

Ouch! My little old granny told me to never write something I didn't want the whole world to see. But maybe this will either change her ways or make her find new friends.

It's the most awesome thing to ever happen to me on the internet. It's not a bad thing at all. She knows she can only kick the dog so many times. I am really honest with her. SHe is back to being uninterested in my life, so oh well. Still looking for a new friend.

She doesn't need new friends, as she is co-dependant with some less than admiral people, which is part of the problem. I can't even tell you how thrilled I was when she saw I am not waiting on her to treat me better. I am someone that thinks people don't really change. I think it's easy to change your habits, not your personality.quote:

Trish I once had a friend like that, didn't realize what a downer she was until I cut her loose. It's hard to find good friends, I'm looking too.

You know what it is? I made a friend that treats me like gold, and is really supportive. Oddly enough, her best friend treats her awful as well.

Trish Strange how it works that way. My best friend passed away 5 years ago and it's hard to have that connection again, miss her terribly.

I have never had what I consider a best friend (other than dh). I have close friends, but that's it. Sorry to hear your acquaintence is not so nice.

I have many good friends, a few close friends and only one that I can tell everything and anything to and I have never met her in person.

I think at this point, I'm interested in acquaintances and maybe not so much in true friendship. Just the other day, someone who I thought was a friend 'did' a moment and I'm over her now. I cleaned out my email addresses of 'friends' who don't respond any more.
Seems like my friends all wigged one day and then I had a whole lot of new 'friends'. Go figger.

I have had this friend since high school and she came right out and said a few years ago that if I had not kept writing and keeping in touch we would not have stayed friends cause she is "just not into that." Kinda hurt my feeling but I have backed off and now I have not heard from her in I do not know how long so I guess it was true. Oh well, I have moved on and found really nice firends that are interested in what I am and I am much happier... But, I just could not figure out why someone would say such a thing??!
