Hi Noelle,
If you go back to page 3 of these messages, Tina has posted the link for the yahoo site there - just click on it and come visit us!! As soon as you register, Tina and I will get an email to confirm your membership and one of us will do it ASAP!
I use a sock yarn called Opal - it is from Germany, one of those self-striping ones. I have just bought a spinning wheel on ebay and can't wait to get spinning. I learnt on a wheel from the spinning group, which was slightly wonky, to say the least! What handwork do you do for your job?
Look forward to chatting more,
Jayne

I have successfully sent my request to join on yahoo! I am knit_by_the_moonlight there as well. Jayne there is a book called Alden Amos book of Handspinning- a really great resource. I just joined our spinners group here. I don't have much time to spin, but enjoy it when I can. My job is doing finishing on folk art Christmas products for a designer in the twin cities. She has about 30 women who work for her. I finish between 100-200 of an item a week from home. Works out well with all of my kids. I will look for the confirm on the join. Thanks!

May your stitches never drop and your knitting always be cherished!

Hey, there, Far-Flung Farmgirls! How are things out there with all of you? I've been thinking about this Chapter idea lately, and you all are so creative in coming up with a way to "get together" that works for YOU!!!

How are the apron patches coming? I just have this image of the most DARLING aprons that you all will have...

XOXO, Libbie

Sue - thanks for asking! Little Arthur is doing well - right now he's sleeping on the sofa right next to me so I get to type with BOTH hands for once! What a treat!

A holiday ornament exchange sounds like so much fun - you all have the most wonderful ideas. Just think - a tree with farmgirl love from all over the place in each of your homes!!!

XOXO, Libbie

Hi all,
To Sue (junebug), the travelling journal and ornament exchange is moving along - Alicia just posted a message on the yahoo site saying that she has received it. You are quite a ways down the list, but it will be coming along! I promise I am sending out the chapter info in the next week and there will be a complete list of addresses, the order of the travelling journal and a list of those in the apron patch swap. Did you want to participate in the apron patches - I am still trying to get a yes or no from everyone on this?
Best wishes,
Jayne

Hi Talitha,
Alicia posted a message on yahoo today saying that she received the journal and gorgeous ornaments. Just letting you know that it definitely got there and she was really pleased to get it! Haven't seen you around for a while - hope all is OK?
Best wishes,

Thanks Jayne, my yahoo mail has been messed up and I haven't been able to get any posts from the group there so I have no idea on how to do the ornament exchange, hopefully that will be explained in the packeage too? I had to decline from the patch swap, just too many to make or buy and our budget is tight right now due to a unexpected trip last month. Can't wait for the chapter info., I know everyone is busy so pace your self, no need to get stressed out over it. Alot of fun things going on at the forums!

Hi to Alicia or Gloria,
Not sure if you still have the journal, Alicia, or have already sent it on to Gloria. Whoever has it, could you please do a little housekeeping on the list of names in the front cover? Could you please cross off Alison (ali2583) - she is currently moving and has bowed out of the journal for the moment.
Also could you cross off Jennifer (jorlex) - she has left the group.
Onto the end of the list could you please add three more names:

Amber (countryfarmgirl) (americanagirl5)
Tasha (GaiasRose) (gaiapagan)
Noelle (knit-by-the-moonlight) (knit-by-the-moonlight)

I've posted this on yahoo too, so hopefully you'll read it on one of them.
Thanks a lot,
Jayne

Hi everyone,
Just a quick note re apron patches (again!!!). I have gone through all the old postings and this is the list of yes/no that I have come up with.
Yes (those who are in the exchange) - 10 girls
Jayne, Sunshine, Tina, Talitha, Gloria, Nance, Noelle, Amber, Mella, Elizabeth.

No (those who have definitely said no) - 4 girls
Alicia, Alison, Linda, Sue

So, there are still 4 gals out there who have given no definite answer either way (Cyndi, Jana, Kathy, Tasha). Could you girls let me know either way please? Thanks so much.

Now we know we need to make at least 10 patches (and may be more depending on answers from the others). I hope this clears up a bit of the confusion. I'll still post out a list with the chapter info once it is completed.

Best wishes,
Jayne

Hi Sue,
I had sent the notebook and ornament to Gloria about 4 weeks ago. I don't know if it has gone on to the next person yet. Maybe Gloria could let us know.

Hi all,
Gloria has the journal ready, I think, but has been busy with quilt fair and visitors. I guess it is getting to that time of year!
Still working away on my apron patches!
Best wishes,
Jayne

Hi all,
Just a quick note to say hi and to ask about the travelling journal? Last I heard, it was with Gloria - the next person on the list is Nance and she asked for it to be sent to her US address. I have read here that Nance is back in France and was wondering if it did reach her before she went back. Or maybe it has moved on from there? Could someone please let us know? Gals further down the list are waiting anxiously and I can't wait for it to get back to me again!
Best wishes,
Jayne

Hey, Jayne, and all you other far flung gals. Nope, never got the journal/ornament. Since we won't be back in Norfolk til the last week or so of March, whoever has it can either hold it and mail it to me then, or send it on now here in France. Email me if you need my French address. Au revoir! Nance

Hi Gloria,
Could you let us know, please? I know you have been really busy lately. Maybe you could email Nance to find out her address?
Thanks so much,
Jayne

Good morning,
Without reading all the pages on this topic, which I am sure that I will get to eventually. How do you join the Far-Flung Farmgirls? I would love to become a member, if it is possible!
Thanks,
Cheryl

Hey, gals! And welcome, Cheryl!! Still in France, and I have not received the journal, etc. We are headed back to my house in Norfolk, VA on the 21st of this month, so it can be sent to me there, since we will be there for two months. Hope everybody is having a great day (or night, depending on which side of the globe you're on, right Jayne?)! Nance

Hi Nance,
I'm still trying to track down Gloria who was to send it to you.
I'll let you know when I hear from her.
Best wishes,
