my sweetie finally admitted today that he is worried whether or not he'll be able to care for me well enough...i have been wondering same but did not express it to him.we have a small circle of support here-not many but hopefully enough...mainly if i need to be driven somewhere, etc.family here is on the forbidden list and the ones who love and care are in ohio, wisconsin and texas so...it's basically just us and he still needs so much looking after.
ok-so nurse catherine called this mornin; biopsy on lymph nodes scheduled for 11 am on wednesday.....
today we grocery shopped, got parts for his truck to be replaced while we are gone over the holiday and a few other errands...tomorrow needs to be a mega baking day tho i doubt it will all come to fruition that easily! i HAVE cut back muchos on my expectations but i do feel that i must at least try!
i have really decided that i need to withdraw from school for next qtr; tat saddens me but i think it is the most prudent choice.
i've decided to go put my feet up and have a small glass of wine......thank you all for being here....

Margo, I'm so thinking about you, today. This day here in Kentucky is rainy and I watched all the people running around, yelling at each other in the shops, horns blaring and thought, "really? this is it?" I just want you to know that each and every night, you (and a host of others) are in my daughter, Violet's, prayers. She's 2 1/2 and she prays that you "fee bettah" It's good to do those "normal" things that you did today, parts for the truck, grocery, what have you. The normal is what is going to keep you going, when you have the strength.
We're thinking of you, here in the Bluegrass.

had typed this on texdane's what are we doing today and moved it here-it was a downer to her thread! this is more like where it sould be ....
later today or tomorrow; i have a letter to compose to my mom and my dad about my cancer- i will type it on computer so they each receive the same and will mail each out at the same time tho dad is in florida and mom here in michigan....i was not going to tell them however i decided that i am obligated. what i am not obligated to do is take their phone calls and i am going to tell them that.when i sought them out in 2000, i guess i became obligated to share this info. i am not the daughter they gave up at birth in 1954; i am so much more! and i cannot be the daughter they think i should be; they are not the parents that i need them to be but they are my parents....
anyhow.....

Margo,
I am saying a prayer and sending good thoughts as you get ready for your biopsy. Just take this one day at a time...you can beat this. About school next semester. It can be hard to sit out when you've been working so hard to accomplish your degree, but I am glad to hear that you've given yourself the time and space to heal as you see fit.
Warmly, Pam

thx! smiling knowing you are all here
last year for Christmas my son and dil ave me a wonderful pair of (burgundy-my fave color!)tailored flannel pjs-today i am wearing the top cuz i am afraid armpit may not like all of my other clothes that go over my head after the biopsy! no one will know i am in my jammie top! shhhh!!!!!it is a scene that i detest that ppl think they can wear jammies out in public--i think this looks enough like a nice flannel shirt no-one should know--and ya know what? who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so-off to sign pprs for medicaid and then to the biopsy- i like the ultrasound tech but she and i have to quit meeting like this!

okkkkk so-update- doc says he hopes to have results fri but may be tuesday--and then he'll set me up with medical oncology-probly get a port --and chemo will start after the first of the year..so now i have a semblance of a time frame for getting some things done here at home..cleaning and such...
i was one of the best dressed in the waiting area!
got signed up for medicaid and a huge hug from that gal--i am only the third woman in her 3.5 years there to go into the cancer side of the treatment...

Hi Margo, I came on here to write some encouraging words, but after reading your posts I see it is you that is posting the encouraging words. Your strength amazes me and I only hope that if I were ever faced with something so life changing, I would handle it as graceful as you. You remind me a lot of my dear aunt. She was diagnosed with cancer several years back. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to hold it together when I first saw her after she was diagnosed and would upset her with my crying. When I walked in the door, there she sat with a face full of smiles. It was my Aunt Mary....not someone who was consumed by cancer. You have the same spirit and sense of humor as she. Keeping you in my prayers.

i am humbled by the love and outpouring here and in private emails and cards and hope that you all keep them coming!that's selfish of me , however, that all keeps me strong!
