Help - I've been invited to a "pot luck" Christmas party tomorrow night. The problem is that it starts at 6:00 p.m. and I have towork until 5:00 p.m. - so I need something really fast and easy I can throw together tonight or early tomorrow AM that won't have to be kept hot or cooked at the last minute.
Thanks!

How about those bbq tiny sausages that you can put in bbq sauce in the crockpot? Put on warm before you leave and take with you, still warm!
Also, soups and chilis work great that way, too--even red beans and rice. You can put all the stuff together in the crockpot tonight, put it on all day and you're good to go!

Get a can of fruit cocktail, a can of dice pinapple, a jar of maraschino cherries, a bag of minimarshmallows and 1 container of sour cream. drain the canned fruit (save juice for something else) and mix in bowl with marshmallows and sour cream. Whipped cream is too sweet. top with cherries. Refrigerate until serving. is a good side dish and guarenteed to have no left overs.

Homemade macncheese.....easy as pie! boil your noodles(I use a box and a half), add two or three pounds (we like it cheesey) of shredded cheese a 1/2 pint of cream and mix it together, bake on 450 for long enough to get the cheese melty, take it out and stir it, add some croutons or bread crumbs to the top with a little bit more topping cheese then boil to bubble and brown the cheese.
see. pie.
