I'm baking banana-applesauce bread. It's a new recipe. I bake when I am "blue." It's good therapy.

After canning the carrot cake jam, I used the remaining shredded carrots and whipped up a cake.

It's nice to hear someone else is a "blue" baker. I don't know if it is the activity, creativity, or just the smells that help.... I have to dig out the kitchen today because I spent ALL day Weds baking for a FD dinner that night...... I do have to make bread today, so that's what I will be baking.

Do what you love, love what you do.

I am preparin to start a marathon of cookie and bread bakin all next week. I have a huge list for Christmas that I bake for each year.

I think 'blue' bakin is more about all the 'tastin' I do of the sweets and chocolate than the actual act for me. Chocolate ond fresh warm sweets always make me feel better.

My Hubby will bake me pies when I'm havin a really bad day! I love fresh warm pie! He promised to bake me one tonight since I've had a really rough week cause I threw my back out. I can't wait for him to get home!!!

Two batches of sccones - one oatmeal and one lemon-poppyseed. I froze most of them but DH and I just had a couple (I make them small) with tea. It was a wonderful afternoon treat...

I definitely think baking lifts the spirit. Its a good thing.

I baked some cookies tonight--chocolate chip and I added some cinnamon chips to them. Now the whole house smells good. I hiked three and a half miles today so I guess I'm entitled to a cookie or two.

The last time I was blue baking, I decided to make jam. After cutting myself and then burning my other hand, I decided that I need to stick to baked goods.

I didn't get to baking today because my kitchen had been commandeered by my oldest son. He's decided he wants cheesecake to be his specialty and todays flavor was peanut butter chocolate chunk. Yum!

Saturday was my cooking day. I made a quiche (handmade gluten free crust), baked a pork shoulder, made meatloaf with enough to freeze, GF cupcakes and canned baked beans (these were a first attempt to see if I could do my own).

Can you tell the 2 month old slept most of this day?

I'm baking sandies/russian tea cakes. DH loves them, and mom always made them. Poof! they melt in your mouth.

Today, I made a big pot of vegetable soup and a black walnut pie. I hadn't had a BW pie in years. I had bought the walnuts at an Amish store and decided to make one. Boy, am I glad I did!!! I also put a pot roast in the crockpot for tomorrow. I love to cook, so there is no telling what I will make tomorrow.

My opinion is that all baking is therapeutic!
Yesterday I made pumpkin bread, chocolate crinkle cookies and old-fashioned sugar cookies!
Mmmmmm! Baking always makes me feel better! Physically wiped-out, but emotionally - I'm great!
