My son has rabbits, three which will over-winter--and we're in VT, so we need/want heated waterers--have any of you seen any with multiple spouts or some such system? Or is is just the single heated water bottles I've seen advertised?
Any other suggestions would be wonderful :)
We use a heated dog bowl for the chickens, and a heated water bottle for my daughter's pet rabbit, but just checking if there are other options before buying three of the heated ones.

I raise rabbits and don't use any kind of heated device but just bring my water bottles inside on cold nights and put them back out in the morning,this of course is more labor intensive,especially when you have as many rabbits as I do but the rabbits do just fine throughout the night without their water bottles.
Another option with water bottles would be to buy doubles of your bottles,keeping the duplicates inside to swap out as they freeze but I haven't done that because bringing them in to thaw works well for me.

I also just swapped out bottles as they froze, i could swap out 2 times a day. Of course when you have alot that doesnt work as well..lol. We had 300 for 3 winters and that is alot of double bottles!

i use plastic crocks in the winter, they get it swapped out every day and clean water then. they seam to do fine.

Are you using regular rabbit bottles?? I wonder about wrapping them in that pipe insulation? you could get it flatted out and wrap them up to make them last longer? so you are just looking for multiple heated bottles?? or 1 unit that heats water for multiple rabbits?

Ok i just did some searching online, the heated water bottles run about $20 each. Did not find anything for one heat source heating several waterers. I did see that alot of them have gotten like adult sized lined mittens and pull them over the top of the bottle helps it to not freeze as fast, or several layers of socks.
