Tried to find my very favorite scone recipe today with no luck!

Any tried and true scone makers out there willing to share their recipe?

I make baskets every Christmas for family members that include 1/2 pints of my assorted jams and jellies and my favorite scones...

Thank you ladies!

Melody,
I also make scones. I have my mother's recipe (Scottish) I will be glad to share it with you. It just so happens that I make them and jams for Christmas gifts. So much better. 1egg,1tbsp. sugar,2tbsp melted butter,1/2 cup light cream, 2 cups all purpose flour,1/2 tsp. salt, milk for glazing.
Beat egg and sugar together until thick. Add melted butter to milk. Sift flour and salt into bowl, make well in center. Stir in egg mixture, then milk mixture; mix to a soft dough. Knead lightly. Pat out to disered thickness, cut with 2 inch cutter. Place on cookie sheet lightly gereased and lined with parchment paper. Brush with cold milk bake at 425 for 10-12 min. 1dozen. Enjoy and I hope this is what you are looking for.
