So one day, I came across an article explaining how to pop your own popcorn in the microwave, using your own paper sack. So that's what I've been doing. I don't like air-popped corn, and I don't have a stove-top popper (yet, anyway). So, you put about 1/3 cup of popping corn in a little brown paper lunch sack (and you CAN reuse it), press out the air, then tri-fold the ends and I cook for about 2 minutes. It stays in the bag. It does burn more quickly, so you have to experiment with time. As soon as it's out, I drizzle w/ butter and salt. I am going to experiment with doing it in a covered dish, and adding oil/salt beforehand.
Anyway, for those of you who still have a micro, it DOES work. This is actually one of the only times I ever use the thing.
