I want to make Chocolate/fudge sauce for gifts this year. The recipe states they will last 4 weeks. Well, i have time now to make it and would hate to give a gift with a 1 week shelf life.

Has anyone tried waterbathing their sauces to make them last longer? I keep thinking that if they are in a sealed jar they may last longer. And I could get a jump start on my holiday.

Any suggestions? And if anyone has a great recipe for fudge or carmel sauce they would like to share.......
