I was so looking forward to putting up my hay bale cold frame for the winter and starting things inside to fill it with. My town told me today that I cannot have it in the front of the house, it needs to be in the back yard or nowhere. My back yard does not have the light the front has and the front is direct southern exposure. Well I guess I will think of something else to do with gardening over the winter so I get my growing fix.
No, they said anything that is "built" hay or not is not acceptable. I also found out they only would allow ornamental veggies in the front of the house too. This town manager said it would be unsightly even thought it would be twofold. growning my greens and as a windbreak for my gap between the overhang of my bedroom where the landlord bumped out the wall but not the foundation.
this town you live in is run by a bunch of maniacs! so you could grow ornamental peppers and kale in your front yard????? is there someplace you could grow indoors under lights? chris
