Does anyone else get cold hives? I get them from the cold wind or cold air if I don't wear enough layers or gloves. I was on the tractor for a good part of the afternoon on Monday and I had on a couple of layers of a shirt and sweatshirt, but only a single layer of thin jeans. By the time I was done that afternoon, my thighs were covered in red itchy welts. My gloves weren't thick enough this morning and the backs of my hands broke out. Thankfully it doesn't seem to affect my face, just sometimes my neck and jawline. Seems extreme, but I pulled out my insulated coveralls yesterday to do my chores.

When I was a little girl that used to happen to me too. We lived on the coast of Maine and if I was out too long in the cold during wintertime I would come inside covered in welts...Not a pleasant experience!

I've never heard of cold hives, but they don't sound pleasant. I have Reynaud's syndrome which is also triggered by cold temperatures. My fingers and sometimes toes go numb and become sore and sensitive to pressure. I also wear extra layers in the winter even if I don't really need them which seems to help keep episodes to a minimum.

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Oh how I feel for you. I've never had cold hives but I've had hives and they are horrid. Hope you find a good method to stop them.

Excuse the mess & the noise, my children are making happy memories
