I don't know about drying it, but getting it off the cob is easy. Take a cookie sheet (with sides) and shell the popcorn by rubbing the cob vigorously. You'll get chaff along with the kernels, so stop every so often and blow the chaff away. We did this when I was a kid and since I liked popcorn so much, I didn't mind the occasional blisters on my hands. I hope you enjoy your popcorn--I'm hungry already. Cindy

leave it on the cob to dry, in a dry, cool area with air flow, when completly dry, then you remove kernals, you can take your hand and grip the cob and slide your hand down, and it should come off very easy, you might want to wear gloves if your hands are not real tuff...

I leave mine on the cob until I'm ready to use it. Then use my thumb to take them off the cob and put it in the popper. It tastes so much better than the boughten and my kids LOVE making popcorn with our homegrown corn and old fashioned turn handle popcorn maker. :) It makes for some exciting times in our household. :)
Excuse the mess & the noise, my children are making happy memories |
