I got to use my new embroidery machine on this project. This is one of my favorite handbag patterns.

That's beautiful! It would match the shawl I'm making. |

Thanks girls for the nice words!! This one is headed off to Colorado. I already have an order for a gray wool one.
I use a Brother embroidery machine. I don't have anything to compare to, because this is my first one, but so far I'm very happy with it. I LOVE the self-threading feature. I can't wait to get some software for customizing and creating my own designs, but I'm still learning to use what I have for now.
The pattern is a Charlies Aunt pattern. It is a little tricky to make, but it is one of those that I've made often enough that it is getting easier each time. Gotta love those rounded gussets!!

Thank you! Yes there are pleats down the front and the flap has an embroidery design that I just happen to have that matched the pattern in the fabric perfectly. I love making this handbag, and I got permission from the pattern maker to be able to make these and sell them in limited quantities! Here is a closer photo hopefully showing more of the detail.
