Portia, Debbie (buzznbee) is doing ok. She had a little set back and had to go back to the hospital, but I believe she is home now. CJ has been keeping us (the mail art group) updated on how she is doing. Debbie did leave a message on hogs and quiches. I think she said her husband was sending out some of her swap things. Just wanted to let you know!

Ginny! I recieved your package today which put a big smile on my face.
The stocking is super sweet! I love the neutral colors and the vintage look to it! I'm trying to be good and not open all of the gifts until Christmas Eve, but I know it's going to be hard! My friend was here when I opened it and she "allowed" me to open 2 of the gifts--the buttons and the chocolate rock candies. Love the buttons...especially the sweet deer ones! I tried to take a picture of them, but I think because they are glossy the pictures turned out blurry. I love the rock candies too! My friend teased me that I wasn't good this year, but I wasn't bad enough to get coal so I got rocks instead! lol! :D Fun candies and they taste good too!
I will post more pictures when I open all of the gifts. I hate to say this, but I didn't get your package in the mail until yesterday. I'm hoping 2 weeks is long enough that it will make it in time to you by Christmas!

Emily,

Thank you so much for letting me know. I was so afraid that something really bad had happened. I will send her a get well card.

So glad you got the stocking and enjoy it so far! I love your friends sense of humor! Didn't I tell you it was a strange pattern that I made from a vintage sock! It was tough getting anything into it. After I packed it all up I went into the local store I got the rock candy in and saw they have beautiful letter charms and I think it needs an E on the front of it so you may get it in the mail. I didn't feel it was "complete" when I made it but not being a person who sews much, I allowed it to be as is. Now that I have seen these charms, it would be perfect for the front!

As far as mine goes, I'm in no rush. It's probably better I get it closer to Christmas so I'm not tempted like you are! ;)

I second that Peggy....however, I have been enjoying all my Christmas treasures so much! I would have been sad if I had opened everything and had to wait until next year to enjoy them!!!

Debbie,

My stocking arrived Saturday and it was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So many things! I could not believe everything that was in there. Everyone, I had a Christmas towel, a HUGE lollipop, a search-a-word pad, cookie cutters, thread, Christmas tissues, a 2012 planner, manicure set, stickers galore, pad and pencil, miniature stocking with candy, needlecard, knitted ornaments, aloe and vitamin infused gel footies, Werther's caramels, small memory book, cupcake liners and picks, and a tiny friendship book. Whew! I hope I didn't miss anything. I thought we were only to send 4 gifts. This is my stocking for eternity!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and Merry Christmas,
Portia

P.S. Hope you are enjoying your stocking---even though it was not nearly as stuffed as yours!

Wishing for the country life!

Monique...I'm glad your stocking arrived safely. I've never swapped out of the country before. It took me a while to make the stocking so I'm sorry that was the only handmade goody...but I hope you enjoy the rest! Merry Christmas! :)

Annette... I'm here, I'm here!!
So very sorry for not posting sooner... took a computer vacation this past week (baking, shopping, wrapping...and other Christmas merriment!) and I'm now trying to play catch-up!!
Let me just say how much I ADORE my stocking! You could have just sent me the stocking and that would have been enough!! The tea is barely surviving--I think I only have 2 bags left!! (Green Tea with mint was my fav!)

The kitchen potholder set and recipe cards came into great use this past week! I have plans for the yarn... thinking of making a snowflak dishcloth! All the sewing & crafting goodies are so thoughtful.
It was such a pleasure doing this swap with you Annette!
Merry Christmas!

Oh, and P.S Yes, I did make the notecards and the scarf!

...I learned something through this and another Christmas themed swap two years ago. I had enough! After I finish my commitment with an upcoming sway. I am quitting with Farmgirls! I will stick with the Sisterhood through the Farm and by myself. I am tired of being burned two Christmas theme swaps in a row!

Many say it shouldn't matter, I shouldn't look to gain something... well, I am sorry but a swap is a swap. One expect something for another. I am not thick skinned... I wish I was. I AM DONE!!!!!! I tried to repay for my wrong and managed to do so. I am satisfied with what I tried to do, I did my best. Now it is over.

I know "one" shouldn't make all look bad. It takes seven kindness to fix one unkindness.

I will be fine... I have gone through this before. Do not worry about me... because no one really does. I see many farmgirls rally for others... but not for me. No one checks on me. I am forgotten. I am sorry that I AM NOT really a "Farm" girl.

God bless you and yours.

Karrieann...My heart hurts for you...being burned on Swaps is NOT FUN! I have been there too.
But you are wrong that no one cares or rallies around you. That is just not true. I remember
when you got behind in some of your obligations...I stood up for you...and let others know that
you would carry through because that is just how you are. And I am glad that commitment meant
something to you...I wish everyone could be as honest and forth-coming as you are...and would
apologize and then make it up to everyone else as you did. But not everyone has your moxy. I wish
you would re-consider and not quit Farmgirls...but I do understand...if you are just too discouraged
maybe that would be best for you. But don't be upset with those of us who have chosen to just get
thick-skinned and keep going, despite the dissappointments.

You are loved and appreciated Farm Sister. You truly are.

blessings,
peggy
