It's Fall! It's really really Fall!
The heater is starting to turn on for a little while in the mornings and it is getting chillier each day.
Doug and I used to have tons of blankets on the bed but now we just have one blanket and our MaryJanes Farm Grange comforter. I don't know what we would do if we didn't have that comforter- probably fight over the blankets again!
If you are ever thinking that maybe you would like some of the bedding- I highly recommend it! We have been using the sheets almost exclusively for 4 years and they don't show any wear or tear yet! I only put on my "spare" when for some reason my dryer is broken and I can't wash and replace on the same day!

I have the grange quilt set too. A quilt and two shams. I put another quilt beneath it in the winter. I love the colors, and have loved it for several years now!

Me too! Fun how we all have matching beds!! I love mine!!I just use the comforter, one quilt and sheets all winter long. LOVE it!

My mom has "Belk Stores" in Georgia...wish we did too, here. She bought some of MaryJane's bedding and loves it! I will order sheets next time from the web as I find it hard to find good sheets at a good price. Alee, four years is great for showing no wear and tear! Alee, do you wash yours on hot or cold in the washer?

Every thing seems to be made in China which really surprises me. I would think that MaryJane would have her products all made in the USA. I'm sorry, I love her and respect all she does but I refuse to buy Chinese products when the same thing is made here.

Nancy, you've very eloquently expressed my hold-up as well. I very much enjoy looking at the bedding in the ads in the magazine, but I wouldn't purchase it either.

The same items are made here but we don't sell very many of those items since our Project F.A.R.M. (First-class American Rural Made) bedding is so much more expensive. We would be happy to custom make anything you'd like. We have and can, but it's expensive and a huge commitment to one's ideals. (If you have a source where you buy your American grown and manufactured bed sets, we'd like to know about it!)

When we moved into our new house two years ago, we got new bedding because the old matched the curtains in the old house. The new bedding was imported.
We noticed more respiratory illnesses since moving. I travelled on business to a Southern California location and hotel that advertised "hypoallergenic" bedding and, lo and behold, I had no sinus or respiratory illness after a week.
Needless to say, when I arrived home I paid more attention to our bedding. It was all imported from third-world companies.
I am in the market for hypo-allergenic and made-in-USA bedding. Does Mary Jane's meet the specs?

I am currently working with a Chinese software development team. At first I was disappointed that we would not have a US-based team. Our budget did not allow that luxury. I am so impressed with the Chinese team's level of skill and expertise, willingness to work, team orientation, and courtesy. I am very happy to have them on board. Unfortunately that means team meetings at 9:00 pm once a week.
We are participants in a global economy and we are going to have to adjust to it. Hopefully our government leaders will find a way to make it not so painful. In the meantime, I understand Mary Jane's decision to offer two different offerings.

I don't understand supporting anything but American made. We have so many folks struggling here at home and so many opportunities to help ourselves that I have made a firm resolve to pay more attention to where everything that I purchase comes from. To be truthful, the bedding source for MJF has always bothered me. I was very surprised when I saw the tags on the sheets and towels in the CdA store. I know there are wonderful and skillful people all over the world. I would love to see more Americans support the wonderful and skillful people in the US.
That being said, I realize it is a very tall order to think that I can only buy American. Of course, I have a budget to stick to and certain standards that I wish to meet on products that frankly, other countries do a better job at producing. Just a pie in the sky hope and something to keep in mind as I fill my basket.
