Our Niggie buck Big Al has gotten his head stuck in the stock panel around his pen twice. Both times we had to use bolt cutters to get him free. It really is not his fault, the does are coming into heat, and he is just a big amorous boy. I cut his loose the first time, and DH cut him loose today. After a trip to Tractor Supply and 100' of welded wire we are hopeful that Big Al can't get his head stuck again. The girls are still teasing him, he has bred two of them and we don't want to breed the other 3 but you know nature and boys. Keep your fingers crossed for us, because the last time he got out unsupervised, triplets were born 5 months later.

When you free your mind your heart can fly. Farmgirl # 714,

sounds like an adventure at your place. those bucks are crazy. i put pvc pipe on their horns. then they cant gey their head through the fence. kinda ugly though. good fence is a better pick we have 2 by 4 welded and hog panels too. he will be a happy boy if he gets out again with 3 girls. sherrye

you may want to put up electric fence strands at a couple of differant heights, you don't want him breaking horns and bleeding out, or breaking legs trying to get out...

That's what I do too except with a stick and duct tape. They really look hilarious and are a little embarresed but it sure does work. That's why I do not have any horned goats anymore. I hope whatever you do works.

I am going to put the boys in with their girls when I get back next week. Poor boys are going crazy!
