I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this. I can't really find an answer besides, it depends what check you use.

What check should we use?

This person is from another country, but is a citizen now.

There should be something on your department of justice website I would think. It's probably a question that's asked often.

It all depends on the depth of the background search and who is doing it and how it's done. Being from another country it's hard to say what will fall through the cracks.

The arrest record should still be available. It is usually only the conviction record that is erased from the public.

Your local state police office should be able to point you in the right direction for international records.

You need to have a life line background check done, that pulls up everything...this is what they use for foster parents, teachers, youth leaders, etc...
