At this point, don't send it, unless you have heard from your partner!!!

You would fill a QUART canning jar with little gifts related to your farmgirl partner's likes and hobbies ex: I like things that are lucky, polka dots, buddhas, magnets, paper crafting, teapots, 50's housewives, turtles, herbs, flowers, cherries, oranges, strawberries, orange and turquiose, dark chocolate, candles, old cheesey robots, wizard of oz, buttons, beads, toiletries from France, and stuff that is shiny or sparkles.

If you google whimsy jar you will see an example, also there some pics on a previous Whimsy Jar Swap strings.

Please post here to sign up for the swap, DON'T FORGET TO POST LOTS OF YOUR LIKES! After assigning partners, I will let you contact eachother for addresses.

You must mail your Whimsy QUART jar to your partner by December 1st.
Sign up will end this coming week, with hopefully, an even # of swappers :)

Swappers must live in the USA or Canada.
Swappers are encouraged to add delivery confirmation or tracking to packages.
Swappers are encouraged to take and post photos of what they send and receive.

How much fun! Sign me up too. My daughter and I will be doing this together so we combined our lists, so that's why it's a bit random. (Trish, if we end up with an odd number of swap sisters we would happily do two jars.)

Some of the things we love: buttons, mismatched jewelry, keys with no locks, locks with no keys, old pins, balls, dogs, gardening, vintage things, sparkles!, stickers, appliqué, shadow box creatures, music, flowers, old farm house things, old black and white movies, books, beads, ribbon, purple, yellow, sunflowers, butterflies, coffee, tea, old board games, card games, crosswords, and GLITTER...so much glitter!! <3

Hey Gals thanks for taking part. I just realized that most of my stuff is food related :O I also play guittar and bake. Oh no. I mostly listen to Indigo Girls and Ella Fitzgerald. I am currently praying for whirled peas and a crafty chick friend that likes curry and Jane Austin..

This is fun just getting to know everyone a little better.

WHAT IS A SHADOW BOX CEATURE? Is it when dust bunny loves a spider very much?

HAHA!! Emma (my DD) wondered how long it would take for someone to ask about the Shadow Box Creatures! My mother has an old antique shadow box with all sorts of teeny tiny little animals in it. Magnetic Scottie Dogs, a tiny horse, a frog with purple eyes.... Emma has been fascinated with the creatures since she was very small, BUT...I especially love your definition - we have plenty of dust bunnies and probably a host of spiders around, so I could let you know what the outcome looks like :P -- (FYI Trish - I ADORE Ella Fitzgerald, curry and Jane Austin!)

What kind of old things? My 23 y/o sister thinks I'm an old thing. I'm 36. I tell people I'm 45, and they say, you look good.

Amy please tell me you like David Grisman and his friends. Google Oregon Country Fair. If your jaw drops in a good way, we can be friends forever. I saw the greatest pendant the other day. It said, When we first met, you said: You are the strangest person I've ever met. I said: You too. We decided to be friends for a long time.

PS I totally dig your band. Around here, we sing Walking After Midnight, and the Hammer Song. They call me the Four Chord Wonder.

Brenda, I think it's maybe Indonesian or Balinese, but they have awesome shadow puppets, that you and DD should check out.

Wait, duh, you're Marilyn of Renton. I was supposed to get back to you about an ATC swap, but I lost your email, and the other lady who started the idea. We had a serious computer crash, sorry. Anyway, this is more fun for me. I can't seem to make 20 of the exact same thing very often.
Wave if you see a crazilady in a green chevy w/ Metallica stickers and skulls, if you're ever down south, it might be me in DH's truck. In return, he commutes in my green car with a Hello Pit Bull sticker. I threaten him with a farmgirl sticker when I need to.

Rock on! Think sun.
Love,
Trish
I know this post seems privatey, but I am on a dinosaur computer, in my craft room, that won't do my email.

Oh, now I remember - wasn't that the WA farmgirls ATC swap and there were only a handful of us? Wondered what became of that. I know what you mean - doin' 20 of the same basic thing for ATC's gets a little monotonous sometimes. I'd still like to try a smaller group ATC swap sometime. Seems like it might be fun to spend lots of effort on one ATC so it becomes a real work of art.

This whimsy jar swap should be a really fun and different swap. I'm excited.

Keep on rockin.....

Cheers! ~ Marilyn
