Christy,
It just depends on the individual making the ATC cards. I make mine all the same. Other's make each card different or 4 alike, and then another 4 alike, etc... until they reach the total ATC goal. It's just what each person wants to do as long as it falls under the theme. The swaps all turn out great however way you chose to do it.
On the number of cards, usually you can count on the Thanksgiving & Christmas swaps being full. I normally wait on the other swaps to see how many sign up but for these I'm going ahead with the full number even before the swap is closed. Any extra cards that by-chance might be left over can be turned into package tags or refigerator magnets for gifts.
Hope this helps.
Andrea.

crafter,
ATC's are Artist Trading Cards.. they are 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 cards that YOU design with any medium you wish. Sometimes they are themed or have specific materials used for any given swap. On the back is the artists name, and town and state. and Im using my sisterhood number too. Each card is numbered of card... lets say you are making 25 cards each card would be numbered 1/25, 2/25, 3/25 and so on. If you google ATC cards, or artist trading cards all sorts of websites will be available for ideas etc. Its fun collecting them. I have been doing atc swaps for many years now.. and have them from all over the world. I collect them in binders with baseball card pages. Once in a while I use them in bigger progects. Hope you join in the fun, they are a unique form of expression.

I guess I'll wait and number them until the end date. Thought I'd get ahead and have mine done ahead of time...I don't want to number them 1 of 22 and end up sending out 18. I think I'll stick to making them all pretty much the same. Easier for me to do them assembly line fashion :)Thanks for answering my questions everyone.

Christy, I was taking about ATCs at work and was surprised that a few gals didn't know what they were (I work in a craft store). So I brought in the 3-ring binder in which I store all my ATCs I have collected this past year doing the MJF swaps, and a few misc from jams I have done. Everyone went nuts over all the creativity and talent that all the farm girls demonstrate! They carried on so that a few customers were shown the book as well LOL. They are very addicting once you start!

Catherine...I think I'll do the 3 ring binder like you do. I was wondering what I might do with them. I also thought I might frame a few to use as a seasonal item in my home. Yayyyyy

Hi Beth! I was just curious about the recipe part of the swap..
Are you SURE you want to copy all the recipes, or would you like me to include my 22 copies along with my ATCs?
And if you DO prefer to make your own copies, then I am guessing that I shouldn't put the recipe on a 2 sided recipe card--I should just type it up and print it out, right?
Thanks, and welcome back!!

Good questions Teresa...I wondered about the copies also. That's a lot of ink and paper for her to provide. I'd be glad to print mine off too...just let us know Beth :)

Ya'll are too sweet!! I was thinking that I would put them on half a sheet of paper and make a small recipe book....I could make the original larger or smaller if I needed. Thanks for the question....Smiles, Beth

All finished! I had made 22, so I'll just hang on to the extra ones for Thanksgiving gift tags... oh, or... I will use them as hang tags on my vases of flowers on my Thanksgiving table..Pretty!!
Thanks Beth for putting these swaps together! Mine will be in tomorrow's mail!
