My husband brought home 3 salmon yesterday. We BBQed one and smoked the others. WOW is it delicious! Only thing better would be smoked steelhead. YUM! Anyone have a smoked salmon spread recipe?
Thanks
Mary

It's delicious!!! Husband brought a few more home this week so I'll be smoking another batch this weekend. I'll be in Sunnyside Friday night for the HS football game. My son's the kicker for WV Rams. He says he wants to eat the last piece of smoked salmon before the game. If I don't eat it first. LOL

EagleNest.....I make a smoked salmon that is like a cheese ball except I put it into fish shaped jello mold that I have lined with saran wrap. And when I unmold it I cover it with dried parsley to make it green. These look great on a buffet table. I make them for wedding tables and such so they are huge but I can tell you what is in them and maybe you can down play the size to what you want. Cream cheese, minced onion, small amount minced garlic, pepper and flaked salmon. If your salmon is already smoked then you are set but if I use regular salmon then I use liquid smoke to get the flavor I need. I hope this might help some.

I would also love to hear how you went about BBQing the salmon you fixed. How large were they? Thanks in advance!!

Enjoy your salmon no matter how you eat it.

A recipe I use is:cream cheese, liquid smoke if unsmoked fish). finely minced onion and minced garlic. Your smoked salmon sounds absolutly wonderful. Enjoy! Serveon a water cracker and yummy!

Appreciate the little things, for they are not really that little.

oooo yummy!! Sounds amazing. I remember when I was a kid up in Maine, my dad would bring home salmon from a fishing trip and Mom would stuff it with dressing, truss it up with a needle and twine and the Dad would bake it on the grill. We would put a cucumber - garlic/sour cream topping on it and just pig out. Lucky you! :-)
