I just sent a e-mail to the farm...
Hello to all the farm!
I'm currently making a tote from a calender as shown in the Shoulder to the Wheel issue (the first issue I saw, and was wow-ed).
I'm a pack rat and found about 5 or 6 calendars I had stashed and decided to make a tote with them and really use them, not just hold on to them.
I have the FARMGIRL WISDOM book and magnets, I was thinking...

How about a MARYJANESFARM Calender?

It's only August, so I think there would be enough time to put one together for 2007.
I know you are all very busy at the farm, but please consider it!
I'm also going to mention it on the Forum, so you will probably be hounded!
Thanks for all your wonderful products.

What's everyones thoughts, I'd love one at work, to help make it thru the day!
KarenP

Yes! Yes! Yes! (Oh gosh- do I sound like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally?!) I believe an MJ calender would evoke such a response!!

I would have to say that having an MJ calendar would be perfect. I bet there are enough photos already to put one together. We do a pocket one at work which all the fire departments just love (we send out 600 per year) and everyone always asks for them. Now I am thinking of each month, especially July with a farm fair picture, May could have planting, August harvest? Just ideas. But I think this would go over big and not just among us farm girls but everyone. there aren't that many nice farm calendars out there. OOOOHH and add some farmgirl wisdom to each month.

OK, I get my husband a tractor calendar every year for Christmas to hang in the kitchen. If it had farmgirls and tractors, it could be "our" calendar instead of "his" calendar!

You guys are funny. I was thinking of that movie too. A calendar would be great. I was just in Border's the other day and all the calendars were of dogs, cars, New England scenes, and stuff like that. What a nice change of pace MJ's farm would be with all the vintage stuff, beautiful photography, mouthwatering pictures of her bakeovers, the farmgirls etc... I need one for sure!

I'd rather live my life with a "full plate" than an empty one. Life is not a rehearsal... eat up!

Oh, I really hope this comes to be. Along with a FarmGirl Cookbook (already underway; see "Kitchen" it woudl be an awesome addition. I know that I would buy for myself and as gifts.

IF MJF doesn't do it themselves, maybe we can get one together ourselves. Meg, would you keep us updated please? We are probably looking at a 2008 version at this point unless MJF has the project under wraps. (In which case, send me three ASAP!) LOL

Morning Farmgals! I could find time to post once in a while if I didn't worry that a 4 a.m. posting might cause someone to question my sanity. (FYI: I am a mid-day napper.)

Yes, Erik is working on a farmgirl calendar! I took a couple of peeks at it yesterday. You're gonna LOVE it. But we're going to need your help. How about if everyone starts posting their significant dates for him to use? Things like the start date of a county fair in such and such, Iowa, or farmgirl chapter events or fun things like, "Lambing, Libbie's Farm, Elsinore, Utah," "Quilting Bee, Berries Place." Or the due date for things like the recipes for The Farmgirl Connection Cookbook...these would be hard to forecast but there are always swaps and such on here. We could dream up a few for next year???!!! Anyway, I think you get the idea. I'll see if Erik wants to tackle Meg's list of farmgirl b-days to plug into the formula.

We had an amazing day yesterday. Several visitors that rocked our socks. (i.e. A chef from Laguna Beach that stepped out of a taxi bright and early in the a.m. with an apron in hand....first taxi EVER up our lane...!) I think Carol is going to write it up for one of Libbie's Farmgirl Chapter newsletters. Where would we be without our dear Libbie and Carol and Amylou and Erik and Gabe and Aunt Jenny and Sunny and Meggie and Lucas Lee Rae and.....each and every one of you?! Love and hugs, MaryJane

P.S. The artwork on The Farmgirl Connection Cookbook is adorable! I've changed my order from five to twenty. It'll be the perfect gift.
