my envelope from breanna arrived in yesterday's mail-thank goodness the yo yo's and buttons survived better than the poor envelope!!!

I love living in a small town. The PO guy delivered Margos yo-yos and then delivered Peggys yo-yos to my daughter at work because they came in on a late truck. He firured I would want them and did not want to leave them on the porch afer the regular mail delivery. LOl Small towns can be really nice.
All the yo-yos have arrived intact and just beautiful.I hope the ones I sent yesterday get to everyone ok.

my envelope from peggy came today! the envelope was in good shape-the yo yo's are wonderful!
this has been a fun swap but i have to ask--how come everyone else's seem 'tight" and mine are floufy????what am i doing differently?????
and -please-tell me we will do valentine's if not before!!!!!

Margo, I can't help you with that answer yet, but as soon as I get them, I will look at them and let you know and see if I can help you.. Are you pulling the strings from the top and at the point at the bottom of the heart? If you do that it should tighten them up....

penny-yes!!! i followed the tutorial..i actually like the floofiness but they are not uniform like everyone else's...

oops Sorry Margo...I thought Dianne had complained about hers looking floofy.
I am going to take one of yours apart and look at it. The only thing I noticed was
that yours seemed larger than the others and so I thought maybe you used a larger
pattern for the heart. I loved your buttons!! But between Penny and me, maybe we can
figure out some suggestions for you.

peggy- i used the pennysanfordtypepad pattern.....if there is a more uniform pattern to use would you maybe send me a hard copy via the mail??? i can send a SSAE for it....i really would like my yoyo's to be the same size as everyone else's for the purpose of how they are used afterwards!
i don't want to cut any other yoyo's out -for future swaps!hint hint-til i know!!!thx!!!

okay-so----two questions
1--what ARE you all going to do with your yo yo's?? i'm not sure yet-my Chrsitmas ones may go on our tree- i'm using a 5ft alpine this year since we won't be home at Christmas; the rest i may incorporate into a quilt square for a lap quilt or hanging
2--can we convince momma peg to organize a valentine's heart yo yo swap???!!!!!!! i've tried the begging route-not sure it was ladylike or effective!!!!
oh gosh- i need to get back to homework; i keep dawdling on MJF and facebook!

I am sending Margo a hard copy of the Penny S. template and a hard copy of Peggy's tutorial. I figured with you ladies looking over the yo-yo and the hard copy..something will pop out.

Margo I used pennysanford.typepad pattern and I didn't enlarge mine at all... I haven't gotten your yo yo's yet but when I do I will look at them...and see if I can help you answer your questions....
Margo, have you received my yo yo's yet, I mailed them out on the 15th, so I would think you should have them by now...I dropped them off at the PO early that morning.
