The name of the blog? What are you blogging about? I like Blogger.com for beginners. And sign up. It'll walk you through the steps of how to set up the appearance. Good Luck! Oh, and just be yourself.

I'll second Blogger.com. I've been very happy with it. And yes, be yourself! I've found that folks just like reading about everything I'm doing. It was hard for me at first, and I didn't post a lot to start with, because for me, it was just my day to day life! I didn't think it was all that interesting! I'm doing better with that now, though. So, just let everyone know what you've been up to!

I agree with Blogger . . . and I also recommend that when you get to this point in your setup, you set it where you have to monitor and approve any comments that anyone makes before they are published. I hadn't done that on mine to start with and saw comments that were filth! I reported them and then changed settings. Have fun with it! CJ

I agree with Blogger.com. It's user friendly for a novice and once you've mastered the general use of it you can easily change out your background and add in goodies to pretty it up very easily.
