Sewing is my therapy. I have been rather "wound up" lately with all the goings on with my mom. So I decided yesterday afternoon would be sewing day. Gave Rachel a lesson on making French seams (she wants to be a designer - well already is actually - but professionally)...and then got busy and made this apron. That's Rachel modeling for me.

the dish rag has a buttonloop attached and a button on the waistband - I always have a rag with me...mostly in my back pocket! I have gotten to town to find it hanging out of my overall hip pocket!

Anyway...thought I would share.

So cute Susan, so you can sew too!! Pretty soon you are going to have a little general store thing going on at your house. I know I always check in to see what you are up to.

Love the apron, and it is modeled so well! :) That is a really cute apron, Susan. Sounds like you had a good time with Rachel, too! Are you going to add aprons to your line of soaps?

Peace

What a cute apron!!! I totally agree about sewing being therapy. I can be tired or wound up, go to my sewing machine, and after stitching for a while all the troubles or tiredness disappears. Good job!!!

I got a new apron pattern couple days ago. its real different, has two pieces that come down each side in front circling at the bottem, goes up around the neck. has ties, but the apron part is mostly all in the front. hard to explan , but looked interesting. Got grape cluster/vines for the fabric. Now to make it :)

Susan,

What a great job! She did really well and she's such a cutie. I'll have to check out the site after lunch.

Both Rachel and the apron are adorable, Susan. The towel to town story gave me a smile... I've worn some crazy stuff myself and wish I'd check a mirror while walking to the door.

There is a Redeemer.

Thanks all of you!

Ann: Oh I go prepared!!!! The kids say with things the way they are in the world I am going to end up in jail one day. Scissors, utility knife, pocket knife, tool kit with all manners of tools. But hey, how many times have they needed to use something away from home...and of course Mom had it!?? I have always carried a small pocket knife. And have needed it numerous times. Scissors are always in my glove compartment in the truck. Box cutter in there too.
