I grew some of those a few years back. I think I just cooked them like I do my pole beans. Of course I like putting either some smoked ham pieces in with my beans or even a little bacon. But that's just me personally. I know the ham or bacon may not be good for you. But I just cannot eat them with out that flavoring!

Now this is just me, but I like to add a little bit of bacon drippings, a little bit of onion and just a touch of sugar. If my husband has anything to do with it I have to use salt pork instead of the bacon drippings. Neither one is too healthy but we don't eat them everyday. I prefer the bacon drippings. And some of us here in Georgia like to let them cook down so low that they fry a little.
