As most of you know, in mid July, we lost my FIL in a tradgic farming accident. We never found the will, and my MIL is really behaving strangely. There is a lot of hurt between she and myself and DH. We stand to lose the farm to building casino debt. That thought makes me ill.

I have been in constant prayer, because I really don't know what to do, or where to turn. Last Friday I got a call from my MIL. She felt very ill, and had a friend, not us, take her to the hospital. After she spent two days there, she thought to tell us. She has a sever UTI, and that led to the discovery of a pelvic fistula. There is a tubular growth from her bladder to her intestine. Bacteria and air are leaking into her bladder!! They have no medical insurance. The fistula is very rare, and of the ones that do happen, 99.7% of then are in women who have had a historectomy. She has not had one, so, praise God the right Dr was there, to run the right test, and ask the right questions, at the exact right time. She needs surgery, but they keep putting her off. Our county hospital is not the easiest to deal with. Poor thing has had to have a cathator this whole time, and will keep it in place until after her operation.
This, I can lose the farm to. Medical bills are not like a casino debt. But my DH is hurt, again, she didn't call us when my FIL had the accident. She didn't call is when he passed. She didn't call when the pump stopped working, or when her car over heated, or when a bunch of scavenging farmers came and picked through my FIL's stuff, or when she needed to go to the hospital.... It's like as soon as his father dies, my DH passed with him. We don't exist. She said, "the farm, the equipment, its mine..." he is so upset. He essentially lost both parents on the same day.

My MIL needs healing. My DH needs peace. Please remember this heartbroken family in your prayers. Thank you ladies, truely!

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.

Annette, this is so sad to read. I hope she will be ok and that most of all her and your Dh can get together and work this out between them. It sounds like she is very resentful for some reason. I sure will pray you don't lose the farm. Does she live there also on your farm?

Don't go with the flow...you are the flow.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
