What is your favorite apple pie recipe? I had a recipe I used of my mom's years ago and now I don't have it and can't get it again so I need a new one! I tried making a few pies and just didn't care for how they turned out.
The last time I came to my fellow farmgirl sister's for kitchen help you ladies helped me out hugely with pie crust and now I can successfully make a good pie crust again, thanks a million for that! Now I need your help making a good apple pie, one that tastes like Grandma used to make it, not Saralee :)
Thanks in advance!

I loved Pioneer Woman's Apple Pie. Also, if you search allrecipes.com for apple pie, and then sort by rating, you'll usually come up with a winner!

My favorite pie recipe is actually called Danish Apple Bars. You make them in a cookie sheet. They are wonderful. The crust is 3 cups flour, 1 cup butter, 1 egg,tsp salt, and enough milk added to that egg to make 1/2 cup. Mix it up like any pie crust, divide in 2 and roll out to your cookie sheet size. Put 1 cup of crushed cornflakes on the bottom crust add 8 cups of apples (or so), 1 cup sugar and some Cinnamon. bake at 375 for 45 minutes.. drizzle a glaze of powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk, over the top after it is cool. michele |

I am just about ready to pull out an apple pie from the Pioneer Woman's website, its the "Scrumptious Apple Pie" recipe. Can't wait to try it, its the first apple pie of the season! Can't wait to try the other recipes too! Lots of apples this year so plenty of time to find my new fave recipe :) Thanks again everyone!
