On Thursday I took my oldest son shopping for some new school clothes. While in Bend, we stopped at the Goodwill to do a little treasure hunting. What do I spy, right there up front on top of a glass case but an old (1940's era I believe) Surge Milker, in good shape and nearly complete! Of course I bought it, hoping to refurbish it and convert it for my goats. I figure if it doesn't work out, I can put it on a shelf with my other antique dairy equipment and it can be part of my decor! DH went to the valley this weekend to care for his aging father. FIL owned a dairy at one point, so he took the surge with him to show his dad and to hopefully get some info/advice on getting it going again. What he found out is that his dads 91 year old first cousin (still living in Silverton) used to be a Surge Milker dealer!! They called him, and even better, he still has some old manuals and parts and would be happy to help! Excited even! Gary is taking it up there today or tomorrow and seeing what they can come up with. It just all feels so serendipitous! :-) I sure hope we can get this baby working again!

I know you sent it once before, but it seems to have been buried in my inbox and I can't find it. Could you pm me your address? That way I can punch it into my GPS after work and find you easier? TY
